After graduating with a degree in economics, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 at a medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants in London becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), by far the largest regulatory body for accountants in the UK. Deloittes, PwC, KPMG, Ernst & Young are all members of the ICAEW so I’m in good company!
I subsequently worked in the City for 15 years providing financing solutions for some household names including British Airways, BAA, BP, National Express, P&O, Disney and Miramax.
The financial crisis of 2008 (which doesn’t seem to have finished quite yet!) gave me the opportunity get out of the City and start doing something a bit more useful and, frankly, a bit more rewarding.
I’m now lucky enough to be working with a portfolio of clients in a variety of industries who share a desire to get on but who also believe it’s important to have fun in the process. We’re all constantly striving for that elusive work life balance and I aim to help you get there.
My personal journey has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience both in accounting and tax matters which you’d expect but also more generally. It’s lonely running a small business so I can act as your sounding board, your virtual FD or your mentor as and when required. My door is always open and you'll find me friendly, personable and welcoming. Coffee and Jelly beans are always on tap here!
